Many of you are familiar with the personals section on other sites, or in a more basic form, the personal ads in the newspaper. Well, we'll have personals right here for local folks like us! This section will be fairly full featured right from the start, with more goodies added as needed and requested.

Some of the things we have planned include separate sections for people looking for different things, photo support in ads, profiles with information on the people posting, the ability to get e-mail from people interested in your ad without having to make your e-mail address public knowledge (the system will accept the e-mail from the interested party and relay it to you automatically - only the server will know your e-mail address), and many other features we haven't thought of yet! And, of course, you can talk to people real time in chat via the IRC channel. Vancouver's a great city, and we deserve a great personals site too - just for us!

We're working on it all the time, so it'll be online soon. Keep checking back! In fact, we just installed a beefier server on March 10th, 2000 to handle the anticipated load. We have the database online, we're just waiting for the code to actually handle signups and searching to be completed. Soon! Very soon!
